This summer learn Italian in Venice and enjoy!
Visit Venice and learn Italian!
Venice, world-famous for its canals and often cited as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, has been known as the "La Dominante", "Serenissima", "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water", "City of Bridges", and "The City of Light".
Venice stretches across 118 small islands and about 150 canals connected by about 400 bridges in the marshy Venetian Lagoon along the Adriatic Sea in northeast Italy. In the old center, the canals serve the function of roads, and every form of transport is on water or on foot.
Venice defies description. You have to visit, see and feel it to believe such a wonderful city is real! Istituto Venezia helps you discover the city while you learn Italian through special summer programs. Do not miss them!

Italian by bike in the charming town between mountain and sea: Trieste!
Since 2005, Istituto Venezia offers Italian courses at the former Closter of Santa Maria Maggiore, in the old town. Trieste, near the border with Slovenia, is visited every year by quality tourism and it offers lots of attractions and cultural life.

La Biennale di Venezia: 53rd International Art Exhibition
From 7th June to 22nd November in Venice, the largest and most important contemporary art exhibition worldwide, will take place.
The Venice Biennale has for over a century been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world. Ever since its foundation in 1895, it has been in the avant-garde, promoting new artistic trends and organising international events in the contemporary arts in accordance with a multi-disciplinary model which characterises its unique nature.
In the 1930s new festivals were born: Music, Cinema, and Theatre (the Venice Film Festival in 1932 was the first film festival ever organized). In 1980 the first International Architecture Exhibition took place, and in 1999 Dance made its debut at the Venice Biennale.
This year, a renewal project will be in place on the occasion of the 53rd Exhibition: the Arsenale area will be linked to the city via a new bridge; in addition, the former Italian Pavilion in the Arsenale will become the “Padiglione Italia”, and the former Padiglione Italia in the Giardini will become the “Palazzo delle Esposizioni” of the Venice Biennale.
