Summer in Montreal: make the most of it with POINT3!

Montreal, consistently rated as one of the world's most liveable cities, is named after the most prominent geographical feature on the island, a three-head hill called Mount Royal, topped at 232 m above sea level.
As a North American city, Montreal shares many cultural characteristics with the rest of the continent, such as the jazz and rock music production tradition. Yet, being at the confluence of the French and the English traditions, Montreal has developed a unique and distinguished culture.
Montreal’s popular festivals include the Just for Laughs comedy festival, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Montreal World Film Festival, Les Franco Folies de Montréal, Nuits d'Afrique and the Montreal Fireworks Festival.

Montreal’s variety of buildings included factories, elevators, warehouses, mills, and refineries which today provide a legacy of historic and architectural interest, especially in the downtown area and the Old Port area.
Located in the southwest of the province of Quebec, the city covers most of the Island of Montreal at the confluence of the Saint Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers. Its summers are warm, at times hot and humid with average high temperatures of 24 - 26°C.
The POINT3 Language Center – TANDEM Montreal helps you make the most of your visit to Montpellier, providing you with high quality ESL (English as a Second Language) and FSL (French as a Second Language) courses, and a live and learn experience with activities which take you out of the classroom and into the advantageous diverse bilingual setting of Montreal!

Intensive French Course
POINT3’s unique Intensive French Program is designed to meet each student’s strong and week points regarding their French skills. The Intensive French classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. daily, for a total of 25 hours of French per week. For the summer schedule, beginners start at 1:30 p.m.
Elements to prepare for the DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française), elementary level, and DALF (Diplôme Avancé en Langue Française) exams are integrated in the Intensive French course.

Once a month, the classes are conducted outside the classroom, around the city of Montreal. These outings are organized classes that follow the week’s topic.
The TOEFL program is integrated into the intensive English program at level 4. At this level and up, elements of the TOEFL are integrated into the everyday courses.
