La Tomatina, 26th August

For you crazy ones out there, ‘La Tomatina’ Festival is not to be missed! Ready, set, throw! - It gives a new meaning to the expression 'playing with your food.'

The most epic battle of tomatoes in the world returns once again this year on the 26th August. One of Spain’s most famed traditions, over 40,000 people from all over the world gather in Buñol (Valencia) for this fun-filled event whereby 100,000 kilos of tomatoes are thrown! In three words; ‘An unforgettable experience.’

It is also important to mention that Valencia is famous as the birthplace of ‘paella’ and the bars and restaurants of this magical city offer rich, mouth-watering cuisine. You will find yourselves eating small plates of delicious ‘tapas’ and drinking ‘agua de Valencia’ (the city’s own famous cocktail) late into the night in true Spanish tradition.
