Surrounded by scenic lakes, canals and the graceful Elbe River, as much as 14% of the city area is covered with green spaces and recreational areas. Hamburg has 2,302 bridges - more than Venice and Amsterdam combined.

With its flair and its maritime charms, Hamburg counts amongst the most beautiful cities in Germany, and it offers pure city life with singular shopping, music and cultural events, lively bars and a vibrant nightlife.
